Day 3 - dare to discover

Watch the videos

Dare to discover an exciting career path with real engineering stories!

Tomorrow's Engineers Week 2025 showed students that you don't have to get it right the first time. The great thing about engineering is that you can try new things and experiment to find the right solution.

Watch the videos and use the discussion points below with your class:

  • What skills do you think are important in engineering jobs?
  • Which of these skills do you already have, and what could you improve?
  • How do engineers help people or the world?
  • Can you think of something you would like to invent or build to help others?

Day 2 - find your future

Take the Meet the future you quiz

Support your students to find their future with the Meet the future you quiz

Ever wondered what an engineer does? Could your class explore outer space, protect the environment, design apps or improve health and wellbeing?

Answer a few short questions and find out how your students' skills and passions could lead to an exciting job in the future.

Whether they're learning about different jobs, or ready to think about taking the next step, this is a fun quiz perfect for the end of term.

Take the quiz in class, at home or after school and find out.

Suitable for students aged 7 and over.

Day 1 - green engineering

Get the green careers resources pack

Get our green engineering careers posters and postcards! Show your class how engineers transform the way we travel, eat, use, power things, build and breathe.

Hand out the posters and postcards and choose a 10 minute discussion or activity:

Activities:

  • re-design your favourite place as a multi-use space (for example, sports stadium with foldaway grass)
  • find out which parts of the UK or your local region have the best/worst air quality
  • design your own personal, eco-friendly transport

Discussion points:

  • should we only eat food that has been grown or produced locally?
  • should we generate our own power at home?
  • how can we reduce travel while still experiencing the world and connecting with others?
